Hello Warrior Family-
We have an amazing motivational speaker, Bobby Jones, coming to visit our school on March 1st. Bobby will be speaking to our student body grades 5-12 about life lessons he has learned throughout his life. Bobby, a South Dakota native and former Division I football player, shares his message of perseverance despite the many challenges he has faced. We are excited to share that he will be working with our students once a week for a six week time period. He will work with small groups and individual students as needed. We will be sending permission forms home today for those students who have been recommended to work with Bobby. If your student has been recommended, please sign and return the forms by Monday at the latest to Mrs. Chisum. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out!

Here is the information you will need to know for the games this week. As of right now, the only confirmed game that we have this week is on Tuesday against Peetz. We found out that Arickaree/Woodlin had to cancel our game on Thursday because of COVID issues. We have been working with Flagler to try and get another game scheduled. We would host this game. Their only open date is on Saturday, however, at this time, we do not have officials who can work the game. I have been working with the assignor and area officials this weekend to try and find anyone who can work. I am still optimistic that we will be able to find officials. However, we can’t confirm the game until we are able to find officials for sure. I will communicate that information as soon as I have it.

5th Grade Little Caesar's Pizza Fundraiser!
Going on NOW through Monday, February, 22nd! Orders will be delivered to school some time during the week of March 8th.
The Weldon Valley 5th Grade class are selling pizza items to raise money to go on field trips!

Yearbook ORDERS are DUE this THURSDAY!
Our final order will then be placed with Jostens! Keep in mind, very few extra copies will be available at the end of the year!
The deadline to guarantee your student’s yearbook will be this Thursday, February 11th.
Yearbooks are $45 each - payment is due at time of order.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment along with Governor Polis have placed Morgan County under the blue section of the COVID dial. This means that masks for students are optional during school except for instances when teachers require masks in their classroom for medical reasons. Teachers will still be required to wear masks or face shields when in the hallway and where social distancing is not possible. In addition, we will be able to increase our attendance at home athletic events. The dial will be updated every week. Thank you for cooperating and understanding. We have been fortunate to remain in-person learning for most of the school year and we feel it is important that we do what is necessary to remain that way.

Hello Warrior Family-
Next week we will begin the 21 Days of Kindness Challenge. Each day students will be reminded of a way they can show kindness. I will be posting a Kindness Calendar that shares their kindness goal for the day.
Students will also be decorating our school Kindness Tree. Students can add hearts to the kindness tree by doing random acts of kindness at school and at home. Students will write down these random acts and bring them back to Mrs. Chisum. The class with the most R.A.K. hearts will win a special prize! Students will get these hearts Monday!
We are so excited to begin our Kindness Challenge!
