Hello Warrior Family!
Winter is just around the corner- if your kiddo can't seem to find their coat, we may have it here! Our lost and found is full of really nice jackets that were left here last spring. Miss Donna has graciously washed them all and has them hung by the cafeteria! Please remind your student to take a look!
We are excited for the opportunity to play one more football game. We will be hosting Kiowa on Wednesday, November 25th at 1:00 pm. We will be honoring the seniors and their parents as part of the game. Due to the current COVID guidelines please read the following information.
1. There will only be one entrance into the parking lot. Use the entrance off Main St, only. We will be taking temps as cars come into the parking lot. The gate helpers will take temps inside the car as you come into the facility. Please have a mask on while you are having your temperature taken.
2. Home fans will be on the west side ( Press Box) of the stadium. They will have access to the concession stand and restroom facilities by the concession stand. Please enter the field through the fence on North side of the baseball dugout and walk around the North side of the field to your sideline
3. We encourage fans to bring their own lawn chairs for seating and sit with your household groups. Please wear masks throughout the game
4. If handicapped parking is necessary, please contact Lacey at 970-645-2411 by 5:00 pm on Tuesday. You will be asked to provide your name and make of car and be given access to the parking on the west side of the field. There is limited parking at this location, so it will only be used for handicapped access. To reach this parking, you will have to drive across the berm on the North side of the school and around to the west side of the field. The entrance will be blocked, except for those who have called ahead.
5. We would like to keep large gatherings from happening on the field and in the area around the field following the game. Please try to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
6. We are trying to limit contact between our two communities. We feel like these precautions will allow us to accomplish this goal. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at gedson@weldonvalley.org. We are looking forward to a great day and the opportunity to watch our senior compete in their last football game.
Next weeks Board of Education meeting will be held via Google Meets due to our "phase red" status. If you are interested in attending, please join in on this link at 6pm- Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Due to the current COVID issues, we have been forced to cancel the Junior High and High School football games for the next two weeks. Unfortunately for the Junior High students, this will end the football season. We are hoping to be able to schedule one more High School football game for week 7 of the season. More info will follow once we arrange the details of this game. Please let me know if you have any questions. Gedson@weldonvalley.org

Good evening! Weldon Valley RE-20J will be operating under the red phase of our COVID-19 plan starting tomorrow, November 4, 2020 due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests within our school community. The results of the tests were shared with us this afternoon. Therefore, all learning activities will take place at home under the direction of the student’s teachers beginning tomorrow. We anticipate that the District will be under the red phase until December 1.
Time schedules for students in grades 7-12 have been discussed with the students, and teachers will communicate directly with the students concerning time periods that they will be required to be in attendance. Parents and students in grades K-6 will be notified by their teachers concerning their schedules.
Students needing a computer or hotspot to facilitate learning will be able to pick these items up at the school beginning on Monday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. Parents were asked earlier in the school year to notify the school in advance if they needed a computer or hotspot in the case that the District went into remote learning. In addition, teachers have recently asked for students in need of a computer or hotspot and that information has been shared with us.
Learning packets for elementary grades will be delivered on Monday, November 9. Those packets will need to be completed and ready for pickup on Thursday, November 12 at which time they will receive materials for the following week.
Lunches will be delivered starting on Monday, November 9. Lunches are free, however, parents need to call the school office before 9 a.m. to reserve your lunches.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your student’s teachers by email or class dojo.
Thank you for your patience and understanding and have a good evening.
